Su misi\u00f3n profesional como hepat\u00f3logo es entregar excelencia en el cuidado m\u00e9dico de sus pacientes mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n juiciosa y prudente de los conocimientos m\u00e1s avanzados sobre las enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas, considerando a la persona enferma como un ser humano integral.<\/p><p>Luego de graduarse de m\u00e9dico-cirujano en 1994 en la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile y de realizar sus especializaci\u00f3n en medicina interna y gastroenterolog\u00eda en la misma universidad, el Dr. Soza realiz\u00f3 un fellowship de investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica de hepatolog\u00eda en la rama de enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas del prestigioso National Institutes of Health, en Bethesda, Maryland (USA) entre los a\u00f1os 2001 y 2003. Sus mentores fueron los doctores <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.niddk.nih.gov\/NIDDKLabs\/IntramuralFaculty\/HoofnagleJay.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jay Hoofnagle<\/a> y <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.niddk.nih.gov\/NIDDKLabs\/IntramuralFaculty\/LiangJake.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Liang<\/a>. Adem\u00e1s de su trabajo en la atenci\u00f3n directa de pacientes, el Dr. Soza desarrolla labores de docencia a alumnos de medicina de pre y post grado y mantiene una activa l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n relacionada al estudio de la replicaci\u00f3n del virus de la hepatitis C, entre otras.
